Hi all! I really hope you enjoy this compilation of the classic Lebanese recipes. The app is very easy to use. And I throw in a bit of Lebanese humor and sarcasm into it. In the settings, you can change the title from English to Lebanglish! Need we say any more?
These recipes are mainly form my mom. Since I lived away from home for so many years, I would always call her to get the recipes. Then somehow after I cook the recipe, I end up loosing it and I would end up having to call my mom again. Several years ago, I started saving them on my computer and, in 2013, I published the first version of this app to share her recipes with all of you.
We started with 18 recipes and I added about 5 recipes every couple of months. There are 45 recipes in the app now and many more to come. I basically call my mom and get the recipe, which is usually full of “a pinch of this” and “a cup of that”!! I fine-tune it to industry standards by trying it several times. I adjust the quantities and ingredients to make it healthier without compromising the taste. Once, the food is served and approved (by my family), the recipe goes into the app.
